    QandA
    Q :
The artists are listed in Japanese alphabetical order.

    A :
[My Basic Concept] I want to make something that never existed before using existing items. [My Theme] There is a puzzle game called Soukoban [Warehouse Keeper] developed by Thinking Rabbit Company in 1982. You are required to move your packet to the goal within a restricted room. In the process of moving around, you might get locked in a small room walled off by freight or partitions or you might carry your package into a corner where it is impossible to move any further.

A package is there to be moved, but, at the same time, it also functions as a wall that blocks your way. It is a game in which you are constantly moving to and fro within a space that opens and closes.

Figure is a collage on Mies van der Roheユs Museum for a Small City, 1942, Project. Artworks are lined up as interior decorations. Among them, Picassoユs Guernica is set up within the space as a painting, but it could also be viewed as a broad pillar supporting the space or a small wall dividing the interior of the room. If the given space was larger, it probably would not appear that way. Depending on its size and where it is placed, a painting can be viewed in many different ways.

With the above examples in mind, in the current exhibition using a ready-made school, I wish to install a work that questions the way space should be and how a painting should be viewed.

    Q :
Whay did you choose the <material>,<technique>, etc. you currently employ as you means of expression?
    A :
I do not want to do anything special in creating a work. However, I do try to create a special experience for the viewer. I hope to do my best within the limited talent and budget I have.

    Q :
Please explain the relation between your work and the theme of the current exhibition, "space","time", and "body".
    A :
I shall display what I have created within the sphere I can see with my own eyes, the time I can spend, and the place I can reach with my own hands.
